Many nights and days

Will have to pass us by

Through rains, clouds and sunshine

We’ll have to endure.

Nights apart we’ll be

While the world dances in harmony

Take out and movies

Never seemed more lonely

Songs now turned silent

Sunsets in grayscale

As I pass my days sitting and thinking…

What are you thinking about?

You can ask me till the very last day

My answer will always be, you.

The minutes will turn to hours

And hours to days

Before we know it the years will pass us by

But through much more we’ve survived.

No one told me the other side of love

The part that makes you cry

When your heart smiles and weeps at night.

Nights apart we’ll be

While the world dances in harmony

Take out and movies

Never seemed more lonely

Songs now turned silent

Sunsets in grayscale

As I pass my days sitting and thinking…

What are you thinking about?

You can ask me till the very last day

My answer will always be, you.

It’s never happened to me before.

Not like this anyway.

I look at you and I smile.

I smile because I know,

Deep down I know I want to grow old with you.

Its an ineffable feeling

Its sweet, incandescent

Its a mixture of all things

True and beautiful.

Its that feeling you get

Not when you fall in love,

But when you know you can’t love another.

Its that bond,

That look in your brown eyes,

That thoughtful look you get when you lay down

When you look at the ceiling

I get that warm feeling

And I know, its you

The one I want to see when I wake up in the morning

When I look at you,

I just know, and I smile

Not because I want you,

But because I need you,

And I love you.

Taking that last breath

Everything stops
Everything grows cold
The presence of death
Among us all.

What is it like, on the other side?
Is there such things
As a narrow path,
Or a guiding light?
Is it true, or is it all lies?

You’re now on the other side.

You’re here and there
Defying the Laws,
Defying the hopes,
Defying the prayers,
Of crying souls.

Tears run down many faces,
Water drops fall as nature cries.
Everything stops.
Everything grows cold.
The presence of death is
Among us all.

The words whirled across the room,
Nesting in my ears.
Deliberately entering my mind.
Thoughts of such words lingered through time…
And time passed by with such thoughts in my mind.

A soul cannot cope with so many thoughts!
For thoughts are to be freed and shared with those we love.
So on my quest to free them all
I called upon a most trusted soul.

One by one those thoughts turned into words,
And so they whirled across the room
Nesting in their ears.
Alas those thoughts were gone, freeing up my mind!

But little did I know,
No soul could be trusted so.
